The Municipality of Nepi takes an important step forward in promoting its territory thanks to the installation of 14 new tourist panels dedicated to the city’s monuments and sites of historical and artistic interest. This project, carried out with the support of regional funding through the “Imprese Unite per Nepi” program, is part of a broader strategy to enhance cultural heritage and improve tourist hospitality.
Each panel, designed with a clear and modern style, provides information in both Italian and English, enriched with maps and useful directions to help visitors navigate the beauty of the historic center and surrounding areas. But the true leap in quality comes from the digital integration: each panel features a QR Code which, once scanned, takes visitors directly to the official website of the Museo Civico di Nepi.
Thanks to this technology, visitors and tourists can instantly access detailed descriptions of monuments, photographs, historical curiosities, and additional multimedia content. This system allows for a more complete and personalized visiting experience, enabling each person to explore the city with their smartphone and deepen their knowledge at any time.
The initiative is part of an integrated information ecosystem in which several local entities work in synergy. In addition to the panels and the Museo Civico’s website, the Nepeasy Tourist Portal offers an extensive overview of events, festivals, itineraries, and available services, while the website of the Pro Loco di Nepi continues to play a key role in promoting cultural and recreational activities.
Together, these tools form an integrated network capable of providing both in-depth content and practical guidance, making the visiting experience simpler and more engaging.
The synergy between physical and digital tools represents a virtuous model of territorial promotion. The panels offer an initial direct contact with the local heritage, while the online channels keep curiosity alive and allow visitors to plan personalized itineraries. This approach is particularly effective in reaching modern tourists, who are increasingly inclined to use their smartphones as their main tool for orientation and discovery.
The installation of these panels is not an endpoint but a beginning. The goal is to make Nepi an even more welcoming and dynamic destination, focusing both on enhancing cultural heritage and organizing events and initiatives that involve the local community and attract visitors.
Special thanks go to Rete Imprese Unite per Nepi, which made the project possible and has long been committed to the development of the territory, promoting not only culture but also a more sustainable local economy, as demonstrated by the loyalty card initiative dedicated to those who choose conscious purchases in the city’s shops.
At a time when competition among tourist destinations is increasingly fierce, Nepi is showing its intention to play a leading role by offering visitors modern tools and quality content. Thanks to this integrated strategy, tourists can enjoy a rich, informed, and personalized experience, while the city strengthens its identity and ability to attract new visitors.
With the new tourist panels, the QR Codes linking directly to the Museo Civico, the Nepeasy Tourist Portal, and the Pro Loco’s website, Nepi now has a solid foundation to grow its tourism and share its millenary history with the world.
A small but significant step, paving the way for new opportunities for growth and discovery.
