From August 22 to September 1, 2024, Nepi will transform into a stage of celebration, blending ancient traditions and new experiences with a lively calendar of events in honor of the Patron Saints Tolomeo and Romano.
Opening Night of Music
The festivities kick off on August 22 in Piazza del Comune with the traditional San Romano Concert, performed by the Enrico Gai Band of Nepi under the direction of Maestro Luigi Lucarelli. This concert officially marks the beginning of the celebrations for the Patron Saints.
Friday: Devotion and Entertainment
The day starts with a gesture of solidarity: a blood drive hosted by the Avis headquarters. At noon, festivities come alive with the firing of ceremonial mortaretti. In the evening, after the Vespers Mass at the Cathedral Church, a solemn procession honors Saints Romano and Tolomeo. The night continues in Piazza del Comune with ’80s music by DJ Barreca and a €2,000 bingo game.
Saturday: Sports and Music
Saturday morning invites young anglers to compete in the 45th Pierin Pescatore. The afternoon features the Tressette Tournament and the Nepi 2024 Fishing Championship, while the evening ignites with the DISCO90 Band and a DJ set promising unforgettable beats. The excitement peaks with another €2,000 bingo game.
Sunday: Laughter and Prizes
Sunday begins with the Burraco Tournament organized by Pro Loco, followed by the San Romano Historical Archery Tournament at the Borgia Fortress. In the afternoon, a solemn Mass is celebrated, and the streets of Nepi come alive with a parade by the HAKUNA MATATA BAND. The celebrations culminate in a comedy show featuring Valentina Persia, a €3,000 grand bingo game, and finally, the Grand Fireworks Show by Colonnelli Fireworks.
Nepi Summer 2024 Continues
After the Patronal Festivities, the summer events in Nepi continue. On August 31, children can enjoy dedicated games, while the evening sparkles with the Miss Amerina beauty contest and the presentation of the “Lucrezia Borgia” Award to Franco Miseria. On September 1, the NEPI EXPRESS, an event organized by the Youth Council, invites everyone to a couple’s adventure through Nepi’s historical landmarks, wrapping up the celebrations with an evening awards ceremony.
